Stunning Stonehenge

I've heard several times from people how they found Stonehenge boring and plain. Well, I beg to differ. It was nominated to be part of the seven wonders of the world for a reason. And its very interesting, really. Did you know that Stonehenge lies on the same ley lines (earth grid) of the Pyramids of Giza? The connection is believed to generate a powerful energy. Also, the rocks that make up the site are called "blue rocks". It doesn't appear to be, but when you chip a rock from it, wash and polish the piece, it comes out to be blue. Lastly, Stonehenge served as a burial site to the neolithic civilization. Remains were discovered buried within and around the site. Some bodies were excavated and sent to museums while others were preserved there.

Amazing, di ba? Hahaha, halatang I really listened to the tour guide eh noh? Haha, eh kasi I believe that there has to be more than meets the eye. You just have to be open enough to see it. If not, you'll be missing out on the beauty of the things/places/people around you :)

Beautiful, Georgian, honey-coloured City of Bath

Gorgeous, vibrant and historic. I don't think I can form any more words to perfectly describe the beautiful City of Bath. En route, when the tour guide instructed us to look outside the window to catch a glimpse of the city from afar (we were on a hill), we only had "aaaahs" and "wooows". Ganda! All the buildings were honey-coloured and vintage, it looked like toy houses! And that's only from afar!

We heard its a must to try the pasty and the buns in Bath so the first shop we checked out was the bakery. We were only able try the pasty tho 'cause we wanted to explore the town and thought sitting over lunch was a waste of time. We had our traditional pasty and hot mocha for take-away and started walking around. A few minutes in and several struggles to take pictures and eat at the same time, and we ended up sitting on a bench in the corner to finish our food. Di pala kaya, lol

When we got to the city center, we were welcomed by the rustic Abbey Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul and a lady singing an opera classic in the plaza. I only dreamed of this. When I was younger, I would see in the movies breathtaking castles and abbeys of Europe and there would be a singer in the background belting Pavarotti or Leo Delibes while the damsel walks the plaza. Yesterday, I was that damsel. Its the first time I've experienced this and I felt like one of my dreams just came true. 💗

The Roman Bath was extremely stunning. Its amazing how they were able to preserve the historic and spiritual site. It felt like I stepped into the ancient times when I got to the spring. It is believed that the Bath Waters have a healing effect so I got myself a bottle. Not to drink tho, just for display.

It was also very nice to see the Pultney Bridge, the spot Javert from the Les Miserables movie jumped to his death. Can't blame Jimmy Choo, Johnny Depp, Nicolas Cage and Jane Austen for choosing this place to be their home.
